Itinerary

Day # 1: Arriving Cairo, Egypt
Meet and assist by Memphis Tours representative upon arrival at Cairo international airport then you will be accompanied to your hotel in Cairo for check in with free time at leisure at the hotel and overnight stay

Day # 2: Giza Sightseeing Tours
You will be accompanied by your knowledgeable English speaking tour guide and driver to visit Sakkara-Step Pyramid of Djoser and Pyramid of Teti, the Alabaster statue of Ramses II at Memphis the capital of ancient Egypt, See Sphinx and the Giza Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos. Lunch included enroute. Back to the hotel for free time at leisure with optional tour to the Sound and light show at the Pyramids –evening time

Day #3: Cairo Sightseeing Tours
Egyptian Museum-guided tour including Tomb of Tutankhamen and Mummies Room. Early as possible to avoid crowds. Old Cairo walking tour visits Ben Ezra, the ruins of a Roman fortress and the Coptic Christian Church of St. Sergius. Islamic Cairo and Khan al-Khalili and Al-Azhar Mosque with stop for lunch enroute for local tasty food-included with Dr. Ragab’s Papyrus Institute and brief lesson then you will be transferred to your hotel for free time at leisure and overnight stay

Day 4: Fly to Aswan / Sonesta Dahabeya
Breakfast at your hotel in Cairo and then transferred to Cairo airport to fly to Aswan. Embarkation in Aswan for a relaxing week sailing the Nile on a Luxuriously appointed Dahabeya Overnight, the ship moors on the Nile Banks of Aswan
            

Day 5: Sonesta Dahabeya Cruise
Today you will visit the Aswan High Dam (completed in 1971); the Old Dam (completed in 1902) You will also visit the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, a structure rescued from the rising waters of Lake Nasser at the time of the High Dam's construction Overnight moored in Aswan

Day 6: Sonesta Dahabeya Cruise
Morning sail to Kom Ombo To visit the ptolemaic temple dedicated to the crocodile god sobek and the falcon-headed Horus, god of the morning sun Overnight moored beside a Nile Island

Day 7: Sonesta Dahabeya Cruise
This morning you will sail to Edfu To visit the wonderfully preserved Temple of Edfu Overnight moored beside an Island

Day 8: Sonesta Dahabeya Cruise
Today will be a leisurely day; After Breakfast Commence sailing to Esna, and onwards to Luxor,Where your Dahabeya will moors overnight

Day 9: Sonesta Dahabeya Cruise
Excursion to the West Bank to visit the great burial places of the Pharaohs - the Valley of kings - where Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankhamen in 1922. Continue to the adjacent Valley of the Queens, Medinet Habu Temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Overnight moored in Luxor

Day 10: Sonesta Dahabeya Cruise
This morning you will visit the magnificent temple complex of Amon-Ra at Karnak, with its vast hypostyle hall of 137 columns, followed by the imposing 28th Dynasty Luxor Temple Overnight moored in Luxor

Day 11: Luxor  /Cairo
Breakfast aboard the Dahabeya followed by disembarkation and then you will be transferred to Luxor airport to fly back to Cairo where you will connect with your flight back home
